Father’s Day is a little under a week away, and there’s still ample time to grab some great gifts for the special guys in our lives. Mother’s Day is just a little over a week away, and I’ve been doing a little virtual window shopping for all the ladies out there. It’s been a dreary start to May over here in Connecticut, so I’ve spent a decent amount of time perusing the internet and rounding up some of my favorite goodies- whether you want to spoil your mom, grandma, or dear friend; or just want to pick up a little something for yourself- I’ve got you covered.

Easter is a little less than a month away, and it’s got me thinking about all things pink and purple and bunny and chick. Over the past few years it’s become one of our very favorite holidays to celebrate as a family, and we always have the best time collecting little trinkets for MM to open on Sunday morning- a mixture of candies, stuffed animal, tiny toys and trinkets. 

Hi, friends! It’s been a while since I’ve posted here- the holidays have been a bit crazier than usual! But I’m back with my final gift guide. This one’s for the littles- a mix of trinkets, stocking stuffers and a few bigger ticket items for both girls and boys.

Today’s gift guide is for the boys. And it’s heavily based on the tastes of my other half. He’s an outdoorsy type- one that loves building fires, rugged plaids, LL Bean and a nice whiskey in the winter.

And, if I’m being honest, this gift guide is pretty much my own personalized wish list- peppered with some of the very best gifts I’ve ever received myself- like this personalized mama necklace. My sister got me a similar one with Madeline’s name on it for my baby shower some years back, and I literally never take it off. This “mama” version would be great for an expecting friend, or for a special mom in your life.

Today I’m sharing my second gift guide of the season- this one with my picks under $50- perfect for Secret Santa, White Elephant exchanges, and even just a holiday treat for yourself.

Yesterday hit “send” on our annual Christmas party invite, and it instantly gave me all the festive feels.

Every year we throw a little get together with close family and friends, and sending off our invite always gets me right into the spirit of things. I always opt for a Paperless Post invite- they’re super easy to use and their designs range from classically pretty to fun and kitschy. And I love their collaborations with designers like Rifle Paper and Anthropologie.

Recently I've received a lot of messages regarding toddler toy and storage essentials. More specifically, many of you are interested in what toys I'd recommend purchasing for when the littles visit, and how to store them- I'm looking at you, grandmas.

Valentine's Day is just a week away; so to get in the spirit this past weekend,  I invited a few girlfriends over for a little ladies' brunch. 

I wanted to create a sweet party that was equal parts girly and unexpected- lots of bright pinks, balloons and bubbly combined with pops of black, gold tones and all the cold brew coffee.

Brrrr! At the risk of sounding redundant: its cold. And if you're home with the littles like Yours Truly, then cabin fever may be setting in already. This past week I brought out all the stops to keep MM entertained indoors. We dined out at our favorite restaurants. We attended the best local drop-in classes. And we even enjoyed some of our favorite indoor activities at home- in the comfort of our PJs.

If you live anywhere near us here in Connecticut, you know the temperatures have dropped below frigid. I can't remember the last time its been this cold this early. As a native New Englander, I rarely complain about the cold. I'm not quite the wear-flip-flops-ti-there's-snow kind of New Englander that my husband is. But I can take a freezing cold day in January.

It's the week of Thanksgiving and you know what that means- loosen up those party pants because we are about to eat all the pie and drink all the holiday libations. And then we're going to wake up on Friday and get our holiday shopping on.

I don't know about you, but for us, summertime is synonymous with socializing: an endless string of beach days, BBQ's and weekend getaways. And, also for us, socializing most often equals consumption. Yes, folks, my family, friends, and I are consumers to-the-max.

A year ago I shared my 10 favorite Netflix shows for the littles. MM was just seven-months old, and admittedly, the shows were more for me than for her- kid-friendly shows for baby to hear in the background without driving mom crazy.
