April Showers
It's been a gloomy, rainy week here in Connecticut. And this mama is going a little stir crazy. After a very {very} long winter cooped up with a baby that has now officially entered toddler-hood, I was quite looking forward to spring days spent outside. Unfortunately, this New England weather has different plans, again leaving us up to our own {indoor} devices.
i said what?
Just shy of two years ago, I became a mom. It was the greatest day of my life, for sure. And it changed me to my very core.
Some changes were temporary, others more permanent; some physical, many emotional. All of them for the better.
And over the past two years, I've found myself doing, saying, and feeling things I would have never thought I would do, say, or feel before. But if there's one thing I've learned about motherhood, it's to expect the unexpected, and embrace it.
The 24-Hour Staycation
Admittedly, there have been more than a few times over the last few years that I've fantasized about a night to ourselves in a hotel- complete with comfy robes and room service, all kid-free. But seeing as I also have some sincere separation anxiety when it comes to my little, the times I've left her for more than a few hours at a time have been few and far between.
Some Bunny Loves You
Hippity hoppity, Easter's on its way.
And thankfully the sun has finally decided to join us here in Connecticut- making me hopeful that we'll have spring-like weather come Easter Sunday. It's been a while since we really celebrated this holiday, bunny and all.
Snack and Discover
The days are long, but the years are short.
That's for certain.
Sleepless nights with an infant transform into nonstop days with a toddler (or two). All in an instant. After almost two years with my girl, its about the one thing I know for sure. And throughout the last twenty-one months, I've asked myself time and time again "where did the time go?"
5 Things: I've Learned About Blogging
Over the past few months I've had a few friends join me in this blogging game {yay!} and I've been asked a few questions about what I've found helpful in finding success in this gig. Its taken me a while- roughly two years; and a bunch of mistakes, a lot of wins, and whole lot more to learn.
But there definitely are a few key words I live by when it comes to Lilies and Lambs and my new role as mama/blogger.
